The greenspace district was branded by the Cascade Heights Community Development Corporation in 2018, to help support the revitalization efforts of the Cascade Heights main street historic business district and further advance social, economic and environmental benefits around community greenspace.
The vast public greenspaces of hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, tennis, golfing and other active and passive outdoor activity help to make Cascade Heights Atlanta’s Community in a Park.
The Vision
Recreational spaces for all generations to gather safely in nature and celebrate Cascade Heights history and culture. Greenspaces will be fully activated with passive and planned activities. Community led collaborations will drive the effort to ensure the natural landscapes are carefully restored, rehabilitated, and maintained so the lands remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing for generations to come. These will be exceptional spaces providing exceptional experiences.
